Pawley’s Place is located in a quiet cove at the South End of Lake Lure. This premier rental property has so many amenities to offer for all ages. During your stay you will enjoy:

• Easily Accessible Home with no stairs from parking area to front entrance.

• Main level: King Bed Master Suite with TV, Open Kitchen, Dining for 10 (plus smaller table for extra seating)
Great Room has a large stone gas fireplace, TV and audio system.

• Large porch located just off the kitchen, view of Lake Lure with Adirondack style seating and a gas grill.

• Main level also has a half bath and laundry room.

• Upper Level: Second King Bed Master Suite. This private suite has its own balcony overlooking the lake, a
stone gas fireplace and TV.

• Downstairs: Great Room/Game Room for the whole family. TV/DVD player, ample seating, game table, ping pong table and stone gas fireplace.

• Downstairs has two bedrooms: 1)- King Bed 2)- 3 sets of Bunk Beds (Sleeping for 6) both rooms share a full bath.

• Located just off the downstairs great room is completely screened in back deck with seating.

• Outdoor Amenities Include: Large Grassy Backyard, Outdoor Fire Pit with seating, Gas Grill. Easy walk down to the waterfront, private dock, shallow swimming area, 8 passenger Pontoon Boat pontoon available April (lake level permitting) - November 10, 2 Stand-Up Paddle Boards and 2-Kayaks (non-motorized watercraft are available for use year round.

• Pawley’s Place has High Speed Wireless Internet

PLEASE NOTE:
1) The Town of Lake Lure requires all drivers of commercial/rental included pontoon to complete in advance, a Town of Lake Lure Boaters Safety Course and get a Lake Lure Boaters License. https://www.townoflakelure.com/parksreclak/page/lake-lure-boater-safety-course-and-test.
2) The 12' Lake Lure drawdown will begin on January 1, 2024 and end March 31, 2024. This is for the completion of priority infrastructure projects. Lake will begin refill on 3/31/24,. The rate of refilling is based on weather & rainfall-typically mid-late April-see TOLL website for lake level info.

  This home is in a perfect location in a quiet cove of Lake Lure! The beds are very comfortable, the storage in the bedrooms is more than enough for your clothes and shoes and suitcases. The family room is just right for the folks on the main floor and the playroom is just right for your younger people with pingpong table, a game table and a video game adaptable tv for your gamers. The kitchen has all the tools you need for meals and there are plenty of dishes and bowls for your crowd. Only thing this kitchen is lacking is a pantry for snacks and dry food stuff. We loved all the outdoor toys— kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, pontoon boat and plenty of life jackets for all.
  Lake Lure is a beautiful lake and we enjoyed our time at Pawley’s Place!

  This was our second time at this house. I love the place and the property managers. You have everything you need and they are very attentive. I hate to even say what I’m about to but I think it may be constructive criticism. The new pontoon boat is very nice but only 8 people capacity. For a 12 people house I wish it was for at least 10. There were a few no shows this year because of COVID so it worked out but this will be inconsideration for next years booking. I was given an adequate explanation, just thought I’d Share. But i still give a 5 star rating!

  We rented Pawleys place at the beginning of August for a long anniversary weekend with the whole family. The place was plenty big for all of us , beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. Unfortunately the boat broke right before we came, but we were able to rent one for a day. Also, the owner gave us a discount and was able to get the boat fixed on our last day and we were able to take it out for a couple hours. We really appreciated it! We really enjoyed the outdoor space and felt very private back in the cove. Sue from Buffalo Junction was very helpful with everyone, would definitely rent through them again! We would love to go back to Pawleys Place again!

  My family of 9, 6 adults, 3 children spent a week at Pawley"s Place in June 2020. The house was very clean, the kitchen well equipped,it was very convient having the pontoon boat and other water toys-paddle boards, kayak, canoe included, the pingpong table and board games were a hit with the kids ( age 9 and 11 ) The dishwasher did not clean the upper rack very well and the hot water pressure was insufficient for multiple showers at the same time, but overall we had a great time and would recommend this property.

  Three levels of separate living space meant everyone could get away for some quiet time, but the combined living/dining areas provided a lot of seating for our group of nine when we wanted time together. We enjoyed family meals around the huge dining table, playing Spades into the wee hours of night, sitting on the deck in the ultra relaxing Adirondack chairs, and taking out the pontoon boat multiple times every day. The boat doesn’t have a sturdy swim ladder so we had some good laughs trying to crawl back onto the boat. We found a rope ladder in a compartment on day 2, but it was difficult to use. We were a bit disappointed to learn that boat rentals aren’t allowed to pull tubes or skiers per Lake Lure policy. Shower water pressure was underwhelming and water temps were very sensitive to toilet flushing and water turned on elsewhere. The three King bedrooms were spacious, cozy and beds very comfortable. The living room furniture was well worn- the swivel chairs were very comfy, but we constantly battled the sofa cushions. Bathrooms a little dated, but clean and functional. There were lots of extra pillows in the main floor master bedroom closet, but we were unable to find pillow cases. We brought our own pillows out of habit so this wasn’t an issue, but something that seemed odd or an oversight. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware, even has an under counter ice maker so no extra trips to the store to buy ice. The gas grill gave us some problems the first day, but was quickly resolved by the property manager. My husband got stung by a hornet on the deck steps; again, management was quick to respond and take care of the problem. We live in the countryside and understand nature’s way, but wasp/hornet nests should be prevented. Overall, we would love to return to Pawley’s Place mainly for it’s location on the lake, layout, and overall coziness factor. The pontoon boat was the #1 selling point for my husband.

  Our family flew in from Arizona and we had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for the 9 of us. Plenty of room, clean and very relaxing. We loved the privacy of the cove and it was perfect for the kids to swim and fish. The pontoon boat ran great and fit everyone comfortably. Sue was very helpful and responded quickly to anything we needed. Overall this house is a perfect getaway for anyone wanting to relax and also to have fun. We look forward to returning.
