Welcome to Moose Tracks, a fun mountain home in Rumbling Bald On Lake Lure. A great outdoor firepit and large game room make Moose Tracks ideal for family vacations, group gatherings or weekend getaways any time of year. Professionally managed, cleaned, and professional linen service. High Speed Internet/WiFi.

As guests of Moose Tracks you’ll have access to Rumbling Bald amenities (10 Guest Passes are provided at the home. Children under 12 don't need a pass). Enjoy the Rumbling Bald private beach, lakefront swimming, two championship 18-hole golf courses, driving ranges, restaurants/lounges, outdoor pool, indoor pool, whirlpool, steam and dry saunas, fitness center, spa with massage therapist, hair and manicure salon, 18-hole miniature golf course, lighted tennis courts, pickle-ball, basketball court, scenic boat cruises, boat/water craft rentals and much more. GROUND LEVEL: Easy access from parking area (parking for 4 cars). NOTE: the paved driveway up to parking area is steep. Large Game Room w/ Pool Table, Foosball, Air Hockey, 2-Player Basket Ball Game, flat screen TV. Queen Master Suite has private Bath with combination tub/shower. Large Multi-Bed Room: 1 Queen and 4 twin beds A second Full Bath with combination tub/shower is shared by the Multi-Bedroom and Game Room.

UPPER LEVEL: Well-equipped Kitchen, Dining Area: table for 6, Screen Porch off Kitchen: table for 4. Great Room has large Smart TV, Amazon Fire streaming device, Wood Burning Fireplace (Available Oct 1-May 1), Game Table seats 4. Access to main deck with seating, gas grill (propane provided). Laundry area off Kitchen. King Master Suite has private balcony, private bath with tub, walk-in shower. Queen Bedroom. Half Bath.

Moose Tracks supplies a baby gate, highchair and pack-n-play.

  Everything was great. The house was beautiful, clean, well-maintained and had a well-furnished kitchen as well as many games and books. The managers were very easy to work with and were very well organized. All needed information was clearly marked and supplied. Many activities including swimming, exercise room, pickle ball and tennis courts, corn hole, basketball hoops were included. Golf and mini golf, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. for a fee were also available -- all about a mile away down the mountain. The "trails" for walking were actually just walks on the roads.
  We only left the area one time to visit Chimney Rock.

  We had a great vacation. The house was clean, well stocked and very spacious. We enjoyed the quit at the house and the amenities at Rumbling Bald. We had a bear and her Cubs visit 3 days in a row, all at very different times of day. They messed with the grill on the deck. She did warn us of recent bear activity in the area. We were thrilled to see them up close, behind closed doors. We enjoyed the game room everyday. The only downfalls we’re the very steep driveway (but you are on a mountain) and having to drive the trash to the dumpster which was closed the 1st time and the last time. We had to take the trash back to the house with us and return the next day. The last time we were leaving the resort and told to drop it off at a dumpster down the road which was out of the way. We were packed to go home so had limited space for garbage bags (there was a triathlon at the resort and we didn’t want to fight the closed roads more than once) I would suggest taking your trash to the dumpster during the week and not wait until the weekend.

  Moose Tracks was the ideal getaway for our family. With 3 grown children, and 3 grandkids, there was plenty to do, and plenty of room for 7 adults and 3 toddlers, even on the rainy days. The house was very clean and well kept. The firepit and game room
  were awesome extras that the family enjoyed daily. The deck with the grill and large picnic table is where we at the family meals. Perfect! The screened in porch is where we had evening cards and games after the little ones were asleep. With the amenities

  Beautiful cabin! The only issue I found with the cabin is lack of TV'S in the bedrooms. Everyone falls asleep with a TV on and that was a disappointment for me. Also, it was a little dusty. The ceiling fans were very noticeable. I have terrible allergies and when I woke up my first night I had a sore throat and sinus issues. These issues of course were not brought to owner's attention because they're miniscule but for me TVS are important as I have trouble sleeping and to pay a 250 cleaning fee maybe more attention needs to be made by cleaning service.

  This is great house for a big family vacation. We stayed for a week with 6 adults and five children in our group. The large bedroom with enough beds to sleep 6 and the game room were perfect for all of the kids. Lots of outdoor space on the decks and the screened-in back patio made it feel like you were sitting among the trees. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. This property is a little farther up the mountain than we've stayed in the past so add an extra few minutes to your travel time. The driveway is very steep- it didn't create any issues but it was a little daunting the first couple of times we came and went. The Property managers were very quick to respond to an issue with the television and worked with us to get the problem resolved quickly. Would definitely come back!

  We stayed over Thanksgiving with our adult children and two small grandchildren. What wonderful memories were created in this beautiful home. We rented a golf cart and enjoyed the beach area, playground and mini golf and tennis. The home was immaculate and the kitchen was a dream. Everything we needed to create wonderful family meals. We enjoy using the fire place and outdoor pit, the television amenities are perfect for afternoon football, and it is in close proximity to the golf courses.   We had 6 adults and 5 children for a wonderful week in Rumbling Bald Resort. We hiked to waterfalls, swam, golfed, kayaked and ate lots! Wonderful time! The property was well maintained, very clean, beds very comfortable. Lots of games in the house to keep the children occupied. Pool table, Pop-a-Shot, Fuseball, Air Hockey And many board games. Kitchen well set up. We do wish there was a TV in the master bedroom!

  We were fortunate enough to spend 5 nights in the house and were quite pleased, not only with it, but also Rumbling Bald Resort. Our vacation was truly special. In the kitchen, the owners have thought of most everything. There was nothing we needed that they didn't have. It's a large house, and can easily accommodate 2 or more families. It was private, quiet, and relaxing. The outdoor fire pit was really nice. The property managers (Sue and Steve) were very professional and accommodating. Checkin and checkout were a breeze. A note to prospective renters: The driveway is very steep. There is easy parking for three vehicles, with enough room to turn around and avoid backing down the driveway. The transition from the street to the driveway is very abrupt. Having a vehicle with good ground clearance is recommended or you will really need to take care how you enter and exit the driveway. A few things we wish would be addressed. An outdoor spa/hot tub. The house/property sort of lend itself to installing one. Secondly, with the exception of the furniture around the fire pit, the outdoor furniture was really lacking. It's old, and some is cracked. Third, the house would really benefit from a dual zone AC setup. To keep the upstairs comfortable, the lower level is really cold. Additionally, the outdoor AC unit is very noisy, which limited our use of the screen porch off the kitchen. Lastly, the decking on the upper level is quite weathered and rough. You need to take care not to get any splinters.
  
  Hoping this feedback is taken as it is meant. To provide renters and the owners with constructive feedback. We wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again if the opportunity presents itself.

  We enjoyed our stay immensely at Moose Tracks. The home was beautifully equipped and serene beyond belief. We really enjoyed the layout as well. The walk out decks turned out to be the go to place to gather! Sue was amazing to work with and so knowledgable. We’ll most certainly be back!!

  Son, daughter and their spouses joined us for Mom's Birthday. Property served as base for trips to Biltmore and one dinner in Asheville. Other meals at Legends and lunches at Apple Valley. Great time together and yet plenty of privacy.

  House was excellent! There was plenty of room for our family of 12. Loved having a game room and a room large enough to sleep all the grandkids.
  I loved the screened in back porch. We cooked all our meals there. Would like to see a new frying pan. It was so nic to have plenty of trash bags and dish washer detergent. We needed those for our big crowd.
  If we come back next year, sure would be nice if the couches were replaced.
  Overall, we had a great time in a great house.

  This is a beautiful property. Had three families staying there, 6 adults and 3 children, 12,10 and 6. The family loved the game room and the boys especially loved the air hockey. Plenty of room for everyone. Loved grilling out on upper porch, felt like being in the treetops.

  Overall experience was great. Great location and place. It was very cleaned and well-maintained. It had almost every thing we were expecting except Grill which wasn't working. Our meal plan was around the grill so little disappointment there. Property management knew before hand about the grill. It could have been perfect if grill was replaced before our stay.

  The house worked well for the needs of our family. The grandchildren loved playing in the playroom and large bedroom on the first floor. The kitchen was adequately supplied. The front part of the livingroom does not have enough light. Driveway is very steep. Cell phone coverage is spotty in the mountains but okay at the house. Very windy curvy roads to get to and from the house. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed the amenities of the resort.

  We had a wonderful trip. The House was perfect for our family! The kids had so much to do with all the games in the house. Wait to go to the grocery store bc the house had a lot of stuff for cooking we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
