IVY STONE COTTAGE is a charming lakefront home on a peaceful Lake Lure cove. The spacious boathouse deck and outdoor patios have wonderful views of the Lake and surrounding mountains, making it a perfect retreat for family vacations or weekend getaways. Professionally managed and cleaned. Rental of Ivy Stone Cottage includes the use of 2 kayaks. Close to local supermarket, restaurants, and area attractions. 3 Bedrooms, 1-1/2 Baths, Sleeps up to 8.
NOTE: Town of Lake Lure is lowering the lake for maintenance beginning January 1, 2022. The lake level is expected to be raised to full pond by April 1, 2023.

LAYOUT: Ivy Stone Cottage has an unconventional layout, which is part of its charm. Please carefully review the descriptions below and photos.

PARKING AND ACCESSIBILITY: Ivy Stone Cottage has parking for up to 3 vehicles. There is a stone stairway down from the parking area to the Main Level Front Entrance. The interior stairway from the Main Level Entrance/Bedrooms to the Lower Level Living Area and Kitchen is narrow and fairly steep. If negotiating stairs are an issue for anyone in your group, you may want to consider a different property.

MAIN LEVEL: Front Entry, 3 Bedrooms and Full Bath. Bedroom 1: King Bed, flat screen smart TV. Bedroom 2: Queen Bed. Bedroom 3: 2 sets of Twin Bunk Beds, flat screen smart TV. Hall Bath has combination tub/shower.

LOWER LEVEL: Open floor plan. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking and has plenty of workspace. Dining Area table with seating for 8. Living Area with comfortable seating a flat screen smart TV and electric fireplace. “Cabana” Half Bath is accessed from outside only. No direct access from inside the house. Easy walk-out access to Boat House Deck and Patio area with gas grill (propane is provided). Boat House Deck has lounge chairs, propane table-top fire pit, plenty of seating, awesome views!

Ivy Stone Cottage is great for vacations and long weekend getaways. Swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, sightseeing, zip lining, horseback riding stables, rafting and golf are all available at or near Lake Lure. Visit nearby Chimney Rock Park, Biltmore Estate in Asheville, Hendersonville, Tryon Equestrian Center and Saluda are all within an hour’s drive.

  We had an amazing time! The house was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy ourselves. My only complaint is some of the advertised outdoor activities were missing like the SUP. We were told when we arrived that there was no jumping from the boathouse roof. So the kids were disappointed. Luckily we brought a couple of paddle boards and just had to share. I wouldn’t let these things keep me from staying again because the house was great and we had a blast.

  The entire week was fabulous! The home is located perfectly on a an inlet of the lake so very low motorized traffic. The house is beautifully/comfortably decorated. Lots of space in the house as well as the deck. The deck is awesome!!! Parking at the house was easy as well, could fit 3 cars easily. It is located in a great area with lots to do. Pizza at Legends on the Lake at Rumbling Bald is a must and the Victory Cafe had the best shrimp and grits. We will definitely be back!

  We really enjoyed our stay at Ivy Stone cottage over the week of Thanksgiving. The kitchen and house overall was incredibly well stocked for a family vacation, and very clean. We used the kayaks and the outdoor spaces, including the fire table. The mountain view from the deck is spectacular! The beds were comfortable and living room was the perfect size for our family. We liked having the cabana bath available on the ground level. Stairs were not a problem for our young family either. Wifi was necessary for calls as there was no cell service for us at the house, but it worked well even with all our devices. The smart tvs, Google home system and device chargers in every room were a nice, modern touch. We hope to return in the summer months, and always enjoy our experience renting with Sue and Buffalo Junction!

  Ivy Stone Cottage is a beautiful home in a truly scenic location. The home is immaculate and so tastefully and comfortably decorated. There are far to many amenities provided to list here, however, the kayaks and expansive deck with gas firepit were my favorites! Lake Lure is a peaceful lake situated in a beautiful mountain location. The rental company aims to provide outstanding service and far exceeded my expectations. You will love this property!
