BEARLY A VIEW

Bearly A View is a recently built 4 bedroom 4 1/2 bath cabin in the Lake Lure community of Riverbend. The cabin is situated on a slight rise of land with the front door around the opposite side from the driveway. There is a side stairway with 20 steps leading to the front door. Once inside the cabin, you can go downstairs and open the double doors at the drive to off load your luggage. As soon as you walk in, you will feel right at home. Rustic feel with a modern vibe fills every space of this home. The kitchen boasts top of the line small and large appliances and offers everything you need to prepare a family meal or a simple breakfast for two. For the coffee lovers, there are three coffee makers available at the cabin - K Cup, Nespresso, and a drip coffee maker. A gas grill is located on the deck near the screened porch. The living room is located on the main level and it is open to the kitchen and dining, making it a great space for entertaining. The 4 bedrooms, each with en suite bathrooms, are tastefully decorated and offer top of the line All Natural Red Land Cotton linens*. Whether you enjoy watching movies, sports, or simply want to have a conversation, the family room with a pool table located in the walk-out basement is a great space for the family complete with a pull out sofa. An office area in the upstairs loft offers space for the traveling professionals with beautiful winter mountain views as well as a futon sleeper. Best part of a relaxing vacation can only be complete by soaking in the hot tub. The two private lakes in the community give you access to a sandy beach area, swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and more (no motor boats are allowed). Riverbend is a gated community. All roads in the community are packed gravel. 4WD vehicles are not necessary, but highly recommended if you feel uncomfortable navigating mountain roads. This is a dog only friendly home. Up to 2 house trained dogs will be allowed into the home. A non refundable $75 pet fee plus tax will be added to the total of your reservation if you choose to bring your dog(s) with you. Guest(s) must notify at time of booking if bringing pets.

It is our policy to require Damage Protection. Your stay includes Damage Protection that covers up to $3,000 in damage. See complete terms and conditions in our rental agreement.
All reservations, including VRBO/Airbnb are REQUIRED to sign a RENTAL AGREEMENT. The Rental Agreement is sent in a separate email for electronic signature. For VRBO guests, and direct book guests we will not process your credit card for the deposit until after you sign the rental agreement.

  Our 2nd time at Bearly A View. We had lots of deer visit in the morning and late afternoons! This is a semi secluded and private mountain community with lots of amenities. The house is spacious, well stocked with games and kitchen items. Each level has its own heat/AC thermostat so the house is very comfortable but we spent most of our time enjoying the screen porch. The master rainfall walk-in shower adds a nice touch of luxury. Close to several golf courses and good places to eat.

  We enjoyed our stay at Bearly a View very much! It was a perfect family vacation. The house has everything you need. It was clean, spacious, quiet and relaxing. The kitchen was supplied with every pot, pan or appliance you need. Our kids enjoyed the pool table, hot tub and the lake was perfect to use the paddle boards that we brought along. The property manager was very helpful when we had questions and responded immediately. The location was perfect. We spent a day at Chimney Rock and another day went to Biltmore Estate in Asheville which was 45 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again!!

  We like the proximity to several golf courses. The private beach and swimming hole within River Bend were a plus if bringing children or dogs.
  Our home was clean, well stocked...huge kitchen. The screened in porch was a plus. The master king bed is losing its support and would benefit from a new , perhaps firmer mattress. We will return to this house again. Our property manager was friendly, helpful and available.

  We enjoyed our stay at “Bearly a View” a lot! Everything you need was there, it felt like your were at home between the throw blankets on the couches, to the fully stocked kitchen and linen closets. Everything was great! Just a warning about the road to the house, it’s unpaved gravel. Very steep at times and sharp turns. The driveway is a challenge. We drove our Toyota Sequoia and it struggled. Our son has a Prius and it could not get all the way up, they had to park on the lower level. The roads all around the area are the craziest, windiest roads I’ve ever been on.
  
  We rented a pontoon boat from a Lake Lure Adventures (about 10 minutes from house), highly recommend! Make a reservation they book fast. The lake is beautiful.
  
  In summary, the house is awesome and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

    Thanks for the great review. If you are nor used to curvy, hilly, gravel roads they can be a challenge. Overall in comparison to many properties in Lake Lure, the driveway is paved.

  We had a terrific time at this home. We love the North Carolina mountains and Lake lure area. The gated community was a nice touch and it was easily accessible for us. The home had everything you could need. It was very large. We used the upper floor for our sons family with two small children. The pool table and noisiest area was in the basement. That worked very well for us. The kitchen has every upgraded appliance and small appliance possible. There is nothing you need. The driveway is very steep. It was a little difficult the first time we drove up it. We learned to use low gear and it was fine.
  We had to call the management company about using the dishwasher. It was just a nicer type that we had ever seen. Once we learned how to use it, all went well.
