Welcome to SERENITY COVE, a peaceful lakefront vacation rental home on Shumont Lake in beautiful Lake Lure, NC. Professionally managed, cleaned, and professional linen service. Enhanced cleaning protocols in use. 4 Bedrooms, 4-1/2 baths. Sleeps 10.

Leave your worries behind and start enjoying great outdoor spaces and activities including wrap-around screen porch, outdoor seating area, private dock to fish or swim from, firepit, bocce ball court, and use of paddle board, kayak, canoe, Inflatable boat. Shumont Lake is a private, non-motorized lake, so a fishing license is not required.

As guests of Serenity Cove you’ll have access to Rumbling Bald amenities (10 Guest Passes are provided. Children under 12 don't need a pass). Enjoy the Rumbling Bald private beach, lakefront swimming, two championship 18-hole golf courses, driving ranges, restaurants/lounges, outdoor pool with lazy river, indoor pool, whirlpool, steam and dry saunas, fitness center, spa with massage therapist, hair and manicure salon, 18-hole miniature golf course, lighted tennis courts, pickle-ball, basketball court, scenic boat cruises pontoon boat rental and more. Enjoy boating, fishing and swimming in warm weather, golfing and hiking all year round. PLEASE NOTE: Golf, boat rentals and some activities have fees. Check Rumbling Bald website for details.

SERENITY COVE Layout:

MAIN LEVEL: Serenity Cove features an easy access Front Entry; large, level Parking Area for 3+ vehicles; Great Room; fully equipped, updated Kitchen; Dining Area plus Breakfast Bar with additional seating; Master Bedroom with private Bath. Great Room has a gas fireplace (Oct 1-May 1), flat screen Smart TV and plenty of seating. Great Room, Dining Area, Screen Porch overlook Shumont Lake. Large wrap-around Screen Porch with game table, tables for outdoor dining and relaxing seating. Master Bedroom has King bed and Private Bath with walk-in shower and separate tub. Sitting/TV room adjacent to the Dining Area has a Twin sleeper-sofa. Powder Room just off the Entry Foyer serves the Main Level.

UPPER LEVEL: Loft Area overlooking the Great Room; 2 Bedrooms, each with a King Bed, Smart TV, and Private Bath with walk-in shower. The Loft has Twin sleeper sofa, comfy seating, and is perfect for relaxing and reading. One of the King Bedroom Baths is also accessed from the Loft.

LOWER LEVEL: Large TV/Games/yard games/fishing poles/basketball arcade shot game, Smart TV, access to the Patio and Back Yard. The level Back Yard has Bocce Ball court, Fire Pit area with seating, Private Dock. There’s also comfortable patio seating, gas grill (we provide the propane) and a Basket Ball hoop.

Located within a 5-minute drive of Rumbling Bald Beach, Boating, Swimming, Miniature Golf, Golf, Tennis, Basketball, Wellness Center, Spa and Restaurants.
Within 30 min. to zip-lining and horseback riding; Chimney Rock State Park and Village shopping, brewery, winery, and restaurants; Tryon Equestrian Center.
Within a 1-hour drive to Asheville - Biltmore Estate, Award winning restaurants, breweries, art galleries, music venues. Saluda - White Water Rafting, Zip-lining, hiking.

It is our policy to require Damage Protection. Your stay at Serenity Cove includes Damage Protection that covers up to $3,000 in damage. See complete terms and conditions in our rental agreement. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PURCHASE DAMAGE PROTECTION INSURANCE AT CHECK OUT THROUGH VRBO OR OTHER PROVIDER.
All reservations, including VRBO/Airbnb are REQUIRED to sign a RENTAL AGREEMENT. The Rental Agreement is sent in a separate email for electronic signature. For VRBO guests, we will not process your credit card for the deposit until after you sign the rental agreement.

  The owner offered a full kitchen with all we needed and a laundry room off the kitchen with space to move around in! The house was very roomy with a huge downstairs for the kids and a wonderful screened back porch facing the lake! There were water crafts and life jackets of all sizes and a floating dock for great fun! The house was clean and comfortable and parking was easy! The pool and lazy river were 8 minutes away as well as golf and restaurants! We ALL had a wonderful time in Serenity Cove!

  We had a great long weekend. House was spectacular, all we had hoped for. Right on the small lake with all the amenities described. Peaceful and relaxing, be sure to bring sun screen. Due to the limited time, we were not able to take advantage of the Rumbling Bald activities. We will definitely be returning in the future! ps...management company was superb and professional...welcoming us and checking in periodically to be sure all was well.

  My family had a wonderful time. This place is great. The house was very clean and well supplied. The lake is quiet and they have paddle board and kayaks you can use and a fire pit. We used the amenities at rambling bald. If you have a large group this is the place to stay.

This lake home is truly a treasure on serene Shumont Lake that includes guest passes for access to all the gated Rumbling Bald amenities as well. As you mentioned, it offers so much, including a well quipped kitchen, outdoor games and watercrafts, new furnishings/beds to name a few. Glad all had a wonderful time and we hope you will return.
