The view of Lake Lure as you come into the area is breathtaking! The relaxed atmosphere and ease of finding your way around were things we wanted when we came to vacation.

The resort amenities are just an added bonus, because you can choose to use them or you can wander into town for a relaxing time with scenic views of the Lake.

The great restaurants that are located on the different sides of the Lake make going to dinner an exciting adventure with great results. There is new 28" Flat Screen TV in the unit.

Our condo is quiet and relaxing with a balcony in the back to sip your favorite beverage and a king size bed to get the rest you want!


** WiFi in UNIT. There are also hot spots located in the resort.

*No Fishing License required on Bald Mountain Lake HOWEVER, A fishing license is needed to fish on Lake Lure

PLEASE NOTE: that although you will have access to all amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort, there will be additional charges for use of some of those amenities such as golf, golf carts, boat rentals, court time for tennis, miniature golf, and special events/ cook-outs.

Beach Towels, Extra Beach Chairs for the lake, Hair Dryers, Basic condiments for cooking, Shampoo, Hair dryers, Fishing Equipment, Golf Clubs, Tennis Rackets, Floats for the lake and the pools, Flotation devises for babies/toddlers.

  We had always wanted to visit Lake Lure, and decided on a four day trip this August. We found this unit on VRBO and could not have been happier. The price was great, the location couldn't be beat (five minutes from Rumbling Bald Resort) and the room itself was well appointed. Having the full kitchenette was perfect for us, as we would wake up early each morning to cook breakfast before heading out for the day. Thank you!

  Kitchen sink was blocked with grease and after 2 visits firm plumber it was finally fixed 4 days later by Roto Rooter. Obviously ignored for some comfortable chairs to sit and watch TV. Just an old sofa bed, so we brought in chairs from balcony. Spent as little time in unit as possible.
  Plenty to see and do in Lake Lure area and great restaurants as well.

  Very familiar with area as we have stayed at other resorts in lake lure. Unit acceptable for short stay. Kitchen updated but rest needs redecorating. Sofa lumpy and too large as well as bed too large. Maintenance repair on Ac needed . Renters should' be told never to leave open packages in cabinets (sugar and coffee). Love the area and the lovely scenery of Lake Lure.

  This was a very clean well stocked and comfortable place to stay. Check in and out was super easy. The location is convenient to Rumbling Bald and Lake Lure.   The Apple Valley Unit #8 was a basic studio type accommodation. The price was excellent and the amenities of the resort area were very good.
  
  The negatives are little to no internet service in this area and the unit only has a older small screen tv. Lots of movies are in one of the drawers, but they are on low quality VHS tapes.
  
  Overall the experience was pretty good and I would consider staying again.

  The property villa was adequate space for my husband and myself on a recent visit to Lake Lure/Chimney Rock. We saw the property advertised as Rumbling Bald and once getting there saw that it was outside the resort. We would have preferred it to be inside, but it worked out fine. Had challenges with the satellite remote and didn't get TV all weekend (no instructions). Overall a nice stay and would come again. thank you!
