DANCING WATERS LODGE

Dancing Waters Lodge is a spacious, two level Lakeside/Mountain home, 5 Bedrooms with Queen Beds, 3.5 Baths and 1- Queen air mattress (Sleeping 10 in beds and 2 on air mattress). This home is within the gated Rumbling Bald community on Bald Mt. Lake, with a short walk to the RB beach on Lake Lure, pools, Wellness Center, Bald Mt. Golf Course and RB restaurants. Professionally managed, cleaned and professional linen service.
THIS HOUSE OFFERS:
MAIN LEVEL: Open floor plan with a well equipped Kitchen opening into Family Room/Dining Area, Screened in Porch and large Deck space. The Dining Area has a table for 8, and 4 more seats at the Kitchen bar. Family Room has a Smart TV and gas fireplace-fireplace use is October 1-May 1. Master Bedroom with private bath-Queen Bed/TV. Guest Bedroom - Queen Bed. Half Bath off the Front Entry/Great Room.

LOWER LEVEL: 3 Bedrooms-all Queen Beds, 2 Full Baths - One of the Baths has a convenient exit door to the Lower Level Deck and Hot Tub area. The Lower Level Family Room has a Smart TV w/streaming service, gas fireplace (Oct 1-May 1). Walk out from the Great Room to a large Lower Level Deck area. On this Deck you can play corn hole and make you way down 44 steps to the Dock/with floating dock/watercrafts and the waterfront of Bald Mt Lake-great fishing!

OUTSIDE AMENITIES: Gas Grill- (we provide the propane), Hot tub. At the lakeside we have- 1-jon boat, 1 Canoe, 2-SUP's, 3-Kayaks and floating dock for your use. There is also seating on the dock but suggest bringing extra folding chairs to take to the beach on Lake Lure. Bring you’re fishing poles/tackle. Fishing license is not required for Bald MT Lake, only for Lake Lure.

Fishing (you will need a NC fishing License to fish in Lake Lure, not required for Bald Mt. Flat Rock, including the historic Flat Rock Playhouse and the Historic Carl Sandburg Home.

  Lots of great space for our 8 adults and 4 toddlers - everything was very clean upon arrival and Sue met us to go over the amenities when we arrived. The passes that got us to the beach area, pools and fitness area were one of the reasons we picked a home in Rumbling Bald instead of the town - really nice amenities that were very convenient to the house. The top deck on the house was partially screened which was nice when the mosquitos were out and the whole deck was very safe for our four kids under 4. The dock area was deep water and great for fishing and floating, we also loved the canoe, SUPs and kayaks. The kitchen was very well stocked and we liked having the grill to cook out on. Sue responded very promptly to any question we had... we’re already looking forward to a return trip next year!

  A group of 12 of us gathered together here for Easter weekend, and we had an outstanding experience at this home. Plenty of space for us all to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked, and as a plus, the dining room table was big enough for all 12 of us to gather (there was even a high chair for the toddler).
  Two levels of decks gave wonderful views. We loved that half of the top deck was screened in, and the space was safe enough for the toddler to explore to his heart's content. We also sat out on the dock and enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails lakeside.
  The highlight is the lake: it's serene and beautiful, and we enjoyed the options of kayaks, paddleboards, and a canoe to explore.

As with most areas in Lake Lure, the wifi was spotty but tolerable to work with. Better than not having any at all! Couldn't use the canoe, paddle boards or kayaks due to them be literally covered by red ants, which was a disappointment, but we still had plenty to do with our other activities. Very quiet, beautiful location.

  This is a great house with amazing views of the lake overlooking the mountains. Being on the lake with access to the kayaks and canoes is a big bonus. I loved sitting on the porch and just staring at the amazing views. The house is updated and everything is in working order. There are 5 bedrooms which accomodated my large extended family. The lake is just steps away with kayaks and canoes for the grandkids to play with. The floating dock was especially fun to fish from or just jump in the lake. Sue has been such a blessing to us.   We had 19 family members gathered at Lake Lure using 2 Buffalo Junction properties. We gathered at Dancing Waters lodge daily for meals. Everyone enjoyed the lake. The families with their combined eleven children ranging in age from 3 to 16 spent most of the day at, in, or on the lake at Rumbling Bald. The canoes, kayaks, and floating dock were in constant use. We also spent some time using the facilities at Lake Lure beach. We had a wonderful time and the facilities were perfect for our family. This was our second time to rent here and we hope to be back next summer.

  This was overall a nice rental. Two bedrooms up, three down. Up is the main level. The “Master” is up and is not truly a Master as the laundry is also in this bathroom. Not that big of a deal. The grill is old, and NOT the nice red one pictured. It’s rusty and flames up quite heavily. Good enough for hot dogs and burgers, but that’s about it. Master bedroom mattress is worn and needs replacing. The kitchen is nicely laid out and includes a built in mini-fridge in addition to the full size fridge. This was great for drinks. There is only one very small trash can in the kitchen. Very Small. There is no animal proof area outside to put trash (animals I’m sure would be a problem) so you’ll be making at least daily trash runs. Kind of an inconvenience. TV’s are pretty small, but internet and Wi-Fi were OK. No worries. If you need a big house this will work, but it really needs to updating and some care put into the details.

  We spent a lovely week as a family (ten of us) at Dancing Waters Lodge. There was something for everyone. We had 5 grandchildren with us between the ages of 2 and 17 so we needed a lot of varying activities. We used all the amenities at Bald Mountain Resort and our dock. We kayaked, canoed, peddled, swam at the pool, played golf and putt putt, played at the beach, enjoyed ice cream, ate at Legends, and hiked. Our trip to Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut Waterfall was a lot of fun and all ten of us did both. The accommodations at the house were excellent. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience. We made many memories.

Seeing that we booked this property twice within a calendar year should be the best indication that this charming house on Bald Mountain Lake is the perfect getaway. The Lake is small but great for swimming, drifting on a tube or kayaking. If you desire a busy lake with boats and activities....Lake Lure is at your fingertips...but this lake is for folks that prefer it quiet. Great place to unplug your devices and disconnect for a few days.

  Huge house with beautiful views of the lake. We were three couples, had plenty of space, both inside and out. House was very clean, felt comfortable in these Covid times. Kitchen had everything you could possibly imagine. I think we all wished the beds were king size, especially the master, but the queens were comfortable. I have to mention 2 disappointments: 1. the TVs were small, especially on the main level. We're big football fans, difficult for all to see. Suggest you get rid of the small TV cabinet and opt for a corner TV stand to hold a large screen TV. And 2: the DirecTV package didn't have the ESPN for Thursday Night Football. (Not bad that my only complaints were TV and football! Ha-ha) The property managers, Sue and Steve, were very good to work with. Unfortunately we had to cut our vacation short by one day due to power outage from the hurricane, but Sue and Steve promptly refunded us for the day. Very relaxing stay, I would recommend it to anyone who likes the mountains and a beautiful lake view.

  Easily the best choice for a large party (8 people) wanting to escape the Atlanta/Charlotte city and retreat to the rural mountains. We were able to spread out and sleep comfortably (one girl had to leave extremely early and she was not bothered by our upstairs conversations) as well as have multiple people in the kitchen, living room or porch/deck area and not feel crowded. The downstairs is just as comfortable and almost feels like an entire separate house - SO cozy. We traveled to Asheville one day of our trip and the drive was completely manageable - less than an hour away. Sue was very helpful when she came to check us in and has lots of information about things to do around the resort. Unfortunately it rained most of the weekend so we weren't able to use the hot tub, but it was just as nice sitting in the covered porch area, drinking wine and playing card games. Our bride was so pleased with everything - thank you for making this weekend memorable!

  We loved Dancing Waters Lodge. There was enough space for everyone to have their own area and then the common areas were large enough for all to join together for board games. Breakfast on the screened porch or out on the dock was serene. Loved being able to go for a kayak ride whenever we wanted. The house is well stocked with paper supplies and cleaning products. We used the hot tub and grill every day. It was so nice being a short walk or drive to all the activities at Rumbling Bald. Sue did a good job explaining the house and area to us. She also recommended the food truck "Relish" which we never would have known about and loved so much we went twice! I also recommend Lake Lure Adventure Co. for waterskiing, tubing, and wakeboarding. They actually picked us up at the docks at the resort and were expert guides. Chimney Rock was a nice morning hike and not far away. We had a great week here and plan to return.

The only minor issues were that the house has no fire pit (we knew that going in) and we were told not to use the indoor fireplaces as they had not yet been inspected for the season.   Rented this home to celebrate my 50th birthday with our three teens and another family with one teen. The pictures really do not do it justice. Lovely private setting. The floating dock was a HUGE hit with the fisherman, and we all enjoyed the screened porch and multiple decks. The hot tub felt amazing after a day of rock climbing and hiking at Chimney Rock. Set up was perfect - plenty of room for everyone to be together or have privacy when desired. We cooked in both nights and had everything we needed and then some in the kitchen. Probably the most well stocked rental home we have had in ages - down to bug spray, flashlights and batteries. Beds, linens, towels, etc. good quality and the wifi was a bonus. Tracy and Joanne were so easy to work with. They answered all of our questions and even provided special birthday surprises for arrival. Would HIGHLY recommend this property to others and definitely hope to return again for a longer visit.

  Our vacation couldn't have gone better. This house is perfect for any vacation. With living rooms and beautiful bedrooms on both the main and lower level, the house accommodates two families perfectly.   Three generations of family, with an age range of 4 to 74, gathered together over a two week period. There was something for everyone--swimming, fishing and boating in the lake and enjoying the amenities of Rumbling Bald Resort. The pools, beach, golf course and tennis courts were all enjoyed. The mini golf course was a hit with the little kids, as were the evenings making and eating s'mores on the beach.
  
  The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. In fact we ate most of our meals at the house and really made use of the outdoor grill. What a pleasure to have a dining table that could fit all 10 of us at dinner.

  Several branches of my family met for a long weekend of fun, food, kayaking and catching up. It was our second visit to Dancing Waters Lodge, and I doubt it will be our last.
  
  The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. Lots of decks and a great screened porch. We have no trouble cooking whatever we need in the well-stocked kitchen. The small, no-gas-motors lake is fabulous, and they supply kayaks, a canoe and a peddle boat.
  
  Tracy, the property manager, is very gracious and accommodating.
  
  There is just one minor inconvenience that the group discussed: they request that you wash the towels before leaving, which meant we had to do several loads of laundry the morning we left, and had to get by without any towels for the last hour or so. Not a deal-breaker at all, but we do wish the cleaning fee covered that, too.
  
  Book it!! You'll love it!!!

  We came to Rumbling Bald for my son's wedding. We had 11 people stay at the house, coming from Texas, Kentucky, and North Carolina. The house was well maintained. There were nice, subtle labels/instructions all around the house, which I appreciated. We were met at the house by the rental agent, who showed me around and answered any questions. She lives in Rumbling Bald, so was there if needed. The view is gorgeous, the lake quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. And the house has plenty of space. One of my brothers stayed at a house maintained by the resort - it was not in nearly as good of shape.

  Dancing Waters Lodge was the perfect accommodations for our family vacation. What a beautiful, quiet location. The lake view was gorgeous, especially from the porch, decks and dock. The house provided plenty of space for entertaining additional friends and family who visited during the week. The house was very clean and in great working order. The well-stocked kitchen was a plus, as well as the 5 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and the 3 1/2 baths. We especially enjoyed the screened porch, the hot tub, the dock and kayaks. Having access to the amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort was a real plus, providing top-notch swimming, golf and mini-golf entertainment options.
  The management staff was friendly and very helpful throughout the week (good Southern hospitality).
  Wi-Fi service in the house was excellent for internet access and e-mail. Unfortunately, cell-phone service for calls at the house and immediate surrounding area was pretty much non-existent. We were all in "vacation mode", so we survived and enjoyed the week quite well! It might be an issue for those who must stay totally connected 24/7 while on vacation.

  Our family and friends couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The home is on a quiet lake that offers a paddleboat and canoes off of a nice dock not far from the house. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch overlooking the lake, but you could also spend time on the enormous decks on the main level and below. Some of us enjoyed the hot tub while others enjoyed the beach area right down the road on Lake Lure. The inside of the house was amazing! The main level has an easy flow from the kitchen area to the dining room/living room area and also to the screened in porch. It was nice having the master bedroom up there along with an extra bedroom that our good friend stayed in. The bottom level had its own tv area and 3 bedrooms that were perfect for our crowd. We had 16 year olds with us, and it was nice to know that we were in a gated community and they were safe going around on their own. I would highly recommend this place. I hope that we can stay there again next year!
